SAN FRANCISCO, CA – November 14, 2012 – Visitors to the  San Francisco Chronicle| International Auto Show presented by will have the opportunity to see, and in two cases drive, a vast array of the newest electric and hybrid vehicles from the world’s major manufacturers. 

Among the vehicles on display at the Auto Show, which opens Thursday, November 22 (Thanksgiving) and runs through Monday, November 26, at Moscone Convention Center, will be:  Chevrolet’s Volt, Fisker’s Karma, Ford’s C-MAX, Escape and Fusion hybrids, Honda’s Civic IMA and Insight hybrids, Nissan’s All-Electic LEAF and Toyota’s Camry, Highlander and Prius hybrids.

In addition, the show will have a dedicated special “Driving Electric” exhibit,  featuring electric vehicles and informational displays.  Among the participants will be:  Charge Across Town, which is a partnership with local government, the business community and the electric vehicle industry to advance plug-in and electric vehicles; the all-electric CODA car; AAA Northern California introducing mobile electric charging service trucks; ZipCar displaying their Honda Fit EV electric car options; charging stations from SemaConnect; Getaround with a Tesla from their fleet; Switch Vehicles versatile all electric 3-wheeled vehicle; Plug-in Supply hybrid conversion products and services.

One of the top attractions at this year’s show will be the opportunity to participate in Ride & Drives in a Nissan "LEAF“ and Chevrolet Volt.

Also exhibiting at the show will be KLEENSPEED, an EV technology and systems development company, which will debut the prototype of its World KAR platform powered by its first commercial product, the GenESSys™ 40 kWh Energy Storage System. 

The San Francisco Chronicle| 55th International Auto Show presented by is supported by the California New Car Dealers Association.  It is the largest auto exposition in Northern California and will be highlighted by the new 2013 models vehicles from 38 of the world’s major manufactures.  In addition to the alternative fuel exhibit the show will feature the Academy of Art University classic car display, the Aftermarket Alley with tricked-out vehicles and aftermarket products, Hot Rods, Race Cars including a display from Sonoma Raceway and the GEICO NASCAR and an auto accessory booth area.  In addition, on Saturday, November 24 only, there will be a San Francisco Auto Salon which will showcase a host of the hottest aftermarket cars in northern California.

Thursday, November 22 – Sunday, November 25: 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Monday, November 26: 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
