INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW OPEN THROUGH THANKSGIVING WEEKEND
SHOW FEATURES NEW INTRODUCTIONS, ALTERNATIVE FUEL AND HYBRID VEHICLES

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (November 21, 2011) – The Bay Area’s largest and most prestigious auto exposition, the San Francisco Chronicle|SFGate.com 54th Annual International Auto Show presented by AutoTrader.com, which opened last weekend to rave reviews, will run through November 27 including Thanksgiving Day, at the Moscone Convention Center.

Supported by the California New Car Dealers Association, the International Auto Show features the products of 38 of the world’s major manufacturers for the year 2012 and beyond including many new introductions plus alternative fuel and hybrid vehicles. The San Francisco International Auto Show, the only auto show held regionally that lures the dazzling high-tech displays from the world’s major manufacturers, will offer Bay Area auto buyers and enthusiasts their first opportunity to see the new 2012 model vehicles all in one place.

Among the new introductions: The Audi A7, BMW’s 6 Series Coupe, Cadillac’s XTS, the Dodge Mopar Charger, the 2013 Ford Taurus and Escape, plus the Mustang Boss 302, Hyundai’s Veloster, the Jeep JK8 Pickup, the Mini Coupe S, Nissan’s Versa, the Scion iQ, Subaru’s Impreza, the new Toyota Camry and Volkswagen’s Beetle and CC

Among the alternative fuel and hybrid vehicles, many of which are new introductions:
The BMW Active-E electric, Chevrolet’s Volt, Fisker’s Karma, Ford’s BEV electric, Escape and Fusion Hybrids, Honda’s Civic IMA-L Hybrid, Insight and Civic Natural Gas vehicle, the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, the 2013 Lexus GS 450h and Lexus RXh, Mitsubishi’s IMIEV electric car, Nissan’s LEAF, Toyota’s Camry Hybrid, Highlander Hybrid, Prius and new Prius V.

This year’s show offers something for every member of the family including:

  • The Nissan LEAF "drive electric tour" where visitors can drive the LEAF

Show hours are:
Saturday, November 19 – Saturday, November 26: 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Sunday, November 27: 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
