FINANCING CAN DRIVE A BUYER’S CHOICE OF A NEW CAR

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (November 5, 2013) – The first step to buying a new car is to find out if you can afford it.

Financing information will be available at the San Francisco Chronicle|SFGate.com 56th Annual International Auto Show, presented by Auto Trader.com set for Nov. 28 – Dec. 2 at Moscone Convention Center. The show will feature a professionally staffed San Francisco Federal Credit Union information display.

“Our goal is to help our members get the car of their dreams without it becoming a financial nightmare,” said Rebecca Reynolds Lytle, senior vice president and chief lending officer. “That’s why we take great care in customizing our vehicle loans to meet the budget and lifestyle needs of our members.”

Anyone who lives, works, worships or goes to school in San Francisco or San Mateo counties may apply for membership.

Credit union staff will be available at the Auto Show to answer questions or help prospective buyers determine the right loan for the vehicle they want. iPads for on-line applications will be available. Pre-approvals will inform applicants at the show of the amount of the loan for which they qualify. If not instantly pre-approved, applicants will be contacted within one working day. No purchases can be made at the car show, but the applicants will be armed with pre-approved loan information when they visit the dealers’ showrooms.

“Purchasing a car is a big financial commitment,” said Kymberli Roberts, consumer lending manager. “Whether you are looking to purchase a new car or reduce the monthly payment on your existing loan, we can help.

“San Francisco Federal Credit Union offers members easy financing, low rates and flexible terms for both new and used car loans. “We can also help you refinance your current loan to lower your monthly payment, interest rate or both. You’ll save money with a San Francisco Federal Credit Union auto loan.”

Besides vehicle loans the credit union offers its members a full range of financial services, including home loans. Other services include personal loans, a variety of savings and checking plans, a VISA Platinum Rewards Credit Card at no annual fee and access to 30,000+ surcharge fee ATMs through the CO-OP Network.

Members may bank online with 24/7 access or use their smart phones to find one of the credit unions’ four convenient branches in San Francisco.
