INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW TO FEATURE RIDE AND DRIVES FROM A VARIETY OF MANUFACTURERS

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (November 2, 2012) – For the first time in show history the San Francisco Chronicle|SFGate.com 55th Annual International Auto Show, presented by AutoTrader.com, will provide attendees with the opportunity to test drive the newest model vehicles from a variety of manufacturers.

The Show, which is set to open on Thursday, November 22 (Thanksgiving) and will run through Monday, Novmeber 26 at Moscone Center, will feature Ride & Drives with Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Nissan and Scion.

Some of the vehicles expected to be available are: Buick’s Verano, Regal Turbo, LaCrosse E-Assist; Chevy’s Camaro, Cruze, Equinox, Malibu, Silverado 1500 truck, Sonic and Volt; GMC’s Sierra Denali and Terrain SLT-2; and Nissan’s Altima and all-electric LEAF.

The San Francisco Chronicle|SFGate.com 55th International Auto Show presented by AutoTrader.com is supported by the California New Car Dealers Association. It is the largest auto exposition in Northern California and the only one held regionally that attracts the dazzling high-tech displays from the world's major manufacturers. This year’s show will be highlighted by the new 2013 models vehicles from the world’s major manufactures. In addition to the 2013 model vehicles from 38 manufacturers, the show will have a display of classic cars from the Academy of Art University, alternative fuel and hybrid vehicles including a exhibit from KleenSpeed, the Aftermarket Alley with tricked-out vehicles and aftermarket products, Hot Rods, Race Cars and an auto accessory booth area. In addition, on Saturday, November 24 only, there will be a San Francisco Auto Salon which will showcase a host of the hottest aftermarket cars in northern California.

The Auto Show will have more than 600 vehicles filling the 1.2 million sq. ft. Moscone Center and is expected to draw 300,000 spectators making it the largest exhibition of any kind in Northern California and the second largest auto show in the western United States.

Thursday, November 22 – Sunday, November 25: 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Monday, November 26: 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
